This issue, you could win a one-night stay at a luxury hotel, followed by a private museum tour, courtesy of the Murrayshall Country Estate and the Black Watch Museum and Castle.

At Murrayshall, the 365-acre country estate at Scone, there is a monument to Thomas Graham, Lord Lynedoch, the enigmatic war hero who once owned it.

Lord Lynedoch’s finest hour was at the Battle of Barrosa during the Peninsular War in 1811. He commanded the British, Portuguese, and Spanish forces against the French at Cadiz in southern Spain. After his victory, he was made second in command to the Duke of Wellington.

Murrayshall is now a luxury hilltop hotel, golf club, and country estate with stunning panoramic views. This issue, we’re giving one lucky reader the chance to win a night’s dinner, bed, and breakfast there for two people.

The prize includes a private tour of the Black Watch Museum in nearby Perth, where you can discover the story of Scotland’s oldest Highland Regiment, followed by a ‘sneak peek’ behind the scenes and afternoon tea in the Castle Bistro.
