The Festival of History is Europe’s biggest historical event, and Military Times has a set of family tickets (two adults, three children) to be won!
Taking place between Sat 16th – Sunday 17th July in Northamptonshire, the Festival of History celebrates two thousand years of history, with one thousand re-enactors and fifty live shows.
The live-action events include a Medieval joust with knights on horse back, a WWI trench experience, aerial displays as an original Spitfire takes to the skies and fully armoured Roman soldiers on duty throughout the festival.
This is Europe’s biggest historical event and there’s something for everyone. Little one’s can get involved too with our Family Activity Area and Time Travellers Go events running throughout the weekend.
New for this year The Festival of Historical Writing is a mini festival from the newly formed Historical Writing Association. Visitors will be able to see and meet great historical writers of our time including MC Scott, Michael Morpurgo and Michelle Paver.
